Tigerburning Tote Bags

August 31, 2014

I turned some of my photographs into tote bags! Click here to purchase the blue twig image (bag print taken in Fitzroy North!) and the pink logs (taken on someone’s porch in Cremorne), or head here to view all my random things on Redbubble (including phone cases, posters and cushions).

Two sides of Two Halves

August 27, 2014

More pictures! Two different photo shoots with Two Halves up this past week – one with Michelle featuring Lazy Oaf, and another with Kat showing off her new ACNE boots. It’s so awesome how different their personal styles are, and this comes across both in their outfits as well as how they model their outfits.

Michelle’s was shot around Fitzroy North Primary School (and, ahem, on top of a tow truck back until we realised the driver was sitting in the cab). Full shoot here.

Kat’s gorgeous and simple set was taken in Carlton North, on a quiet laneway. Full shoot here.

A very grey winter

Meet James

August 18, 2014

I’ve been so fortunate to pick up interesting one-off photography jobs here and there. Unfortunately they don’t always get used (such is life, according to Heath Ledger, yeah?) so here’s one such set.

This is a series of outfit shots of a Perth student by the name of James. Clothing by Culture Kings.  Thanks James!

(P.S. Shooting a launch party over the next few weeks… and the possibility of street style pics for new things yet to be revealed. Very excited!)

A picture I took for the Two Halves Black Orchid shoot got 785 likes on Wittner’s Instagram! This makes me happy. Enjoy. x

Staedtler + Made By Morton

August 14, 2014

So stoked that stationary/craft giant Staedtler have crowned Made By Morton its ‘August Artist of the Month’!

I worked with Lauren and Chalsie on the Made By Morton photoshoot last month (check it), and am so happy to see that Staedtler have featured not one but two photographs I took for the brand for its Facebook page. Just remember that Facebook is a bitch and loves to compress the shit out of images.

P.S. And because Lauren is a pretty talented lady, there will be a Made By Morton stall at the next Melbourne Finders Keepers. See your pretty faces and hipster beards there in October!

Shipping out to BIGSOUND

August 11, 2014

Work update time.

I’ve been working at Shock Records for over a month now as Label Manager, and it’s been pretty awesome so far. I’m going to the music conference BIGSOUND next month with two others from the Shock music team, so see you all in the Valley soon!

Thank you, Open House Melbourne!

August 10, 2014

OHM_certificate of appreciation_Paige ChoAs you all (maybe) know, I’m a huge nerd when it comes to anything related to Melbourne, architecture, history and any combination of those three things.

I volunteered at Open House Melbourne a couple of weeks ago, and yes, I was one of the girls selling event programs inside the shipping crate at Melbourne Town Hall (check it!). Getting thrown right in the midst of all the activity and buzz was awesome, and I got to work alongside some truly lovely folks. And then an elderly man dressed as a tram inspector gave me a half penny from 1909 for answering a history pop quiz correctly. But maybe that’s a story for another time.

On top of selling books and pointing people in various directions, I also won a building ballot and got to walk on the Melbourne Central roof top and inside the Glass Dome. Can’t wait for next year.

(P.S. To everyone who complained that they didn’t know about the ballots or volunteer sign-up, subscribe to their e-newsletter via their site here.)

Mossman & Two Halves

August 3, 2014

Another day, another Two Halves photoshoot. This set is featuring pieces from the new Mossman collection. We shot this on the top of a car park in Chinatown, dodging people trying to actually park… Safety, what?

Full post here.
